2023: The final Beatles song arrives via AI

The Beatles released their final song, Now and Then, in 2023. The track utilizes a 1978 demo recorded by John Lennon. The group attempted to record the song in 1995 during The Beatles Anthology sessions. Technical issues forced the band to abandon the project at that time.

The 2023 release relied on vocal isolation AI technology. Engineers applied this same tool during the production of The Beatles: Get Back documentary series. The technology allowed the band to separate Lennon's vocals from the 1978 demo. This enabled the completion of the track decades after its initial recording.
