Cornell Young and twin brother dressed as Smoke and Stack for Halloween

Cornell Young and his twin brother dressed as the characters Smoke and Stack from the film Sinners for Halloween. The look drew immediate attention on social media. Spirit Halloween released an officially licensed costume line for the movie this season. Young, who is 26, noted the concept was a natural fit for real-life twins.

The actor is currently starring in the Netflix reboot of A Different World as Shaquille Johnson. The series premiered on September 24 and reached the number one spot on the platform. It has already been renewed for a second season. Young also appeared in Tyler Perry's film Doing Life, which premiered globally last month.

The Halloween post followed a week in which Young discussed his romantic history on The Shop. He stated a preference for dating older women. Young explained that he often feels a disconnect with women his age or younger. He credited his upbringing for this perspective, noting he grew up around grandparents and great-aunts who emphasized communication.

We speak, we use words. You express yourself a certain type of way, Young said on the show. He added that all the women he has dated have been older than him. Young attributed the preference to a level of maturity. He said the current generation is fixated on specific trends, but he prefers going out to have conversations and do real-life things.

Co-star Darryl M. Bell joked on the program that older women would be hoping for a chance with Young. Young recalled being heartbroken at age 11 after a crush returned from college with a boyfriend. He said the experience did not change his type.

Rumors persist about a romance between Young and co-star Maleah Joi Moon. Fans speculated about the pair after they were seen together at a watch party in St. Louis. Neither star has confirmed a relationship beyond friendship and professional collaboration. Young reportedly laughed when asked if he was single, saying he loves his work.
