Ja Rule challenged online criticism of his recent tour during his final Los Angeles concert. He told the crowd at SoFi Stadium that they should rely on their own observations rather than external commentary. The artist addressed these points during the second night of his JAŸ-Z 30 celebration.
The rapper performed in Inglewood, California, on Saturday, October 24. This date marked the conclusion of his multi-city run. The tour had previously sold out venues in New York, London, and Paris. Both nights of the Los Angeles stop also reached full capacity, according to the concert's press release.
Ja Rule spoke directly to attendance claims circulating on social media. He reminded the people in the stadium that they were physically present for the event. "People will tell you that nobody was in here tonight, but you got eyes, you can see," he told the audience. He encouraged concertgoers to make their own assessment of the music and the atmosphere.
The artist expanded his comments to include a warning about artificial intelligence. He advised fans to be skeptical of narratives spread online. Ja Rule emphasized that live human connection remains something technology cannot replicate. He pointed to the crowd's immediate reaction to guest appearances as proof of that authentic experience.
The set list covered three decades of his catalog. Ja Rule opened with "The Watcher 2" and welcomed Too $hort for "Blow the Whistle." He continued with "Izzo (H.O.V.A.)" and "Beach Is Better." The performance also included staples like "Song Cry," "Dead Presidents," "Dirt Off Your Shoulder," and "U Don't Know."
The show featured a tribute to Nipsey Hussle. Ja Rule incorporated elements of "Hussle & Motivate" into "Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)." He also used the instrumental from "Last Time That I Checc'd" during "On to the Next One." Snoop Dogg appeared for "Murder Was the Case." Dr. Dre then joined Snoop for a run through "The Next Episode," "California Love," "Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang" and "Still D.R.E."
Ja Rule closed the night with "Empire State of Mind" and "Big Pimpin'." He finished with "Public Service Announcement (Interlude)" and "Encore." The set list also included "Heart of the City (Ain't No Love)." He wore bespoke ensembles designed by June Ambrose during the performance. Celebrity attendees included Lizzo, Kelly Rowland, Vanessa Bryant, Yo Gotti, DJ Khaled, Tiffany Haddish, and ScHoolboy Q.
