A new wine bearing the name of a Chicago neighborhood park hit the market on Monday.
The product, called Jefferey Park, is a 2024 vintage Pinot Noir. Common, the rapper and actor, launched the brand in partnership with Karim Mussi, an Argentine winemaker, and Gopuff, a delivery platform. The wine is currently limited production and available in select markets.
The name references a park on Chicago’s South Side that was formerly known as Stony Island Park. The location sits three blocks from where Common grew up. He said the project is personal because the park holds memories of friendship and community from his childhood.
The wine is produced using grapes from 27-year-old vines. These vines are located at the Altocedro estate vineyard in Argentina’s Valle de Uco region. Common worked with Mussi to create a profile featuring smooth red fruit notes. The wine ages for 12 months in French oak barrels, a process that shapes its finish and character.
Pricing varies by retailer. On Gopuff, the bottle costs approximately $19.99 in participating delivery areas. At BevMo! stores and online, the price is about $29.99 per bottle, plus tax. Availability and exact prices may differ by location.
Common has expanded his business ventures beyond music and film. This wine launch adds a beverage component to his portfolio. The project connects his current work to his roots in Chicago.
The wine is available now for those in participating areas. The collaboration combines Common’s creative vision with Mussi’s winemaking expertise. The result is a limited release that celebrates a specific place in the rapper's past.
