Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen told his players on Tuesday that they must maintain a growth mindset to stop a four-game losing streak. The team prepares to host the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Steichen described the current situation as a storm that the team must go through. He said the group cannot look back at the past. Instead, the players need to keep pressing forward. He emphasized the need for professionals to stay on point with details and discipline throughout the practice week.

The squad faces changes on the field. The Colts traded two team captains, Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner. Wide receiver Josh Downs has also requested a trade. Steichen said on Sunday after a lopsided loss to the Jaguars that he is evaluating everything about the roster.

Steichen expects to use more young players in the coming games. He highlighted Caden Curry as a player who has stepped up. Curry recorded seven tackles and a fumble recovery against the Jaguars. He has continued to grow in his role on special teams and at defensive end.

The Colts signed defensive tackle Adetomiwa Adebawore to a two-year contract extension on Tuesday. Steichen called Adebawore a huge bright spot for the team since training camp. He noted Adebawore's success in rushing the passer and winning one-on-one battles. The coach praised Adebawore for his character, preparation, and relentless effort.

Adebawore has 19 tackles and four sacks this season. Steichen said he is happy for the player's performance and consistency.

The Colts and Cowboys will kick off at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium.
