Xbox announced on Tuesday that it will give one player a one-of-a-kind console known as the Xbox Series X-Bite. The device is a fully functional Xbox Series X unit that is built inside the body of a five-foot alligator.
The console is encased in the reptile's scales. A green Xbox Nexus logo is cut into the alligator's skin and glows to indicate the power status. The alligator's eyes also feature irises colored in Xbox green with pupils shaped like the Nexus symbol.
The wireless controller included with the package has a distinct bite mark. The device rests in the alligator's mouth as part of the design.
While Rockstar Games has stated that the PlayStation 5 offers the best way to experience Grand Theft Auto 6, the Xbox unit is being presented as a unique option. Xbox did not label the console as an official tie-in to the game. However, the reveal video played music that fans associate with the title. The video also showed the alligator in a setting that resembles a fictional place based on Florida, a state known for its alligators.
To enter the sweepstakes, players must follow the @XBOX account on their preferred platform. They must also repost the designated Xbox sweepstakes post. Finally, users need to manually add the hashtag #XbiteSweepstakes to their repost.
The contest is open to gamers who complete these steps. The prize is a single, custom-built console intended for collectors.
The announcement has drawn reactions from players who are weighing in on the unusual design. The sweepstakes remains open for entries that meet the specific posting requirements.
