Fischer Farms and ClusterTruck have launched a partnership to supply locally raised beef and pork for prepared meal deliveries in central Indiana. The arrangement allows customers to order meat from the St. Anthony farm either as raw groceries or as cooked dishes served by the Indianapolis-based delivery company. Jon Cantor of ClusterTruck noted that the business has transitioned several menu items to use the new protein sources.
Fischer Farms operates as a family business in St. Anthony, a community located south of Bloomington. Joseph Fischer stated that the farm has been in his family for 160 years. The operation raises cattle and hogs, providing steaks, pork chops, ground beef, and skirt steaks. Fischer described the product as premium, natural, local, and sustainable, emphasizing that the meat contains no antibiotics or fillers.
ClusterTruck functions as a delivery and pickup-only restaurant that operates without traditional dine-in seating. Cantor explained that the company delivers food to homes and offices across a service area that includes much of central Indianapolis and extends from downtown to Carmel. The logistics are managed through four regional kitchens. Customers place orders via the company website or mobile application by entering an address and selecting items.
Cantor indicated that the partnership provides variety to the company's extensive offerings. “We have over 100 different menu items, right? So something for every picky eater out there,” Cantor said. He added that the collaboration allows the company to feature ingredients sourced directly from within the state. “But what today we’ve brought is some of the items that we’ve transitioned to our new Fischer Farms beef and pork,” he said.
Fischer highlighted the mutual benefit of the collaboration for local businesses. “I think it’s just really fun because we’re two Indiana companies working together,” Fischer said. He noted that the partnership gives consumers a transparent supply chain. “You know exactly where your meat’s coming from,” he said. The farm maintains its focus on quality by ensuring the marbling in its steaks meets specific standards for both raw sales and culinary preparation.
Cantor visited the farm to inspect the operation before finalizing the agreement. Fischer said the farm put Cantor to work during the tour. The visit allowed the restaurant operator to see the raising conditions and handling processes firsthand. Fischer said the experience reinforced the shared commitment to clean ingredients from farm to table.
The partnership currently allows customers to choose between ordering Fischer Farms meat for home preparation or selecting prepared dishes from ClusterTruck. The farm continues to sell its products directly through its website alongside the restaurant distribution. Both companies plan to maintain this supply relationship as part of their regular operations in the region.
