350 Workers Keep Delta Faucet's Greensburg Plant Running After 70 Years

Delta Faucet Company has operated in Greensburg for more than 70 years, and about 350 people work at that facility now. The company employs about 900 people across Indiana. One in three U.S. homes has a Delta product, according to the company. The Greensburg plant was the first site the company built for manufacturing.

The company is marking National Manufacturing Month in October by pointing to its Indiana record. October is designated as National Manufacturing Month to recognize the industry's contributions to the U.S. economy and the careers available in manufacturing. Delta Faucet said it is using the month to show its Indiana operations and its investment in local communities.

Scott Wesseler, site director for the Greensburg facility, said the plant handles specialized work for the company. "Greensburg is where we do some of our most special finishing work, like champagne bronze," Wesseler said. "We're blending decades of manufacturing expertise with cutting-edge technology."

Delta Faucet Company makes faucets, water filtration systems, bathing systems, shower doors, bath hardware, and steam and digital showering products. The company said it continues to put attention on its employees, workplace culture, and talent development as manufacturing technology changes.

Trevor Hopster, senior director of category manufacturing, said the field has shifted from what it was 20 or 30 years ago. "Manufacturing today isn't what it was 20 or 30 years ago," Hopster said. "We're focused on innovation, technology, and creating opportunities for talented people to build meaningful careers right here in Indiana."
