Anderson .Paak and Cordae closed their promotional pop-up shop tour for their joint album 'Heavy Is The Crown' with a street performance in New York City on the evening of October 30, 2026. The two rappers arrived on East 14th Street as the sun set, appearing before a crowd that had gathered to wait for them. From the back of a moving vehicle, they addressed the assembled people with hand waves. Attendees raised their phones to record the scene, and some passersby stopped their daily travel to watch.
The tour began with stops in Los Angeles and San Francisco. It then moved to Chicago and London. A Fatburger block party was held in West Hollywood as part of the run. The New York City date served as the conclusion of these scheduled appearances. Throughout the tour, the two artists sold merchandise at pop-up shops, offered vinyl copies of 'Heavy Is The Crown' that were limited to those events, and held meet-and-greet sessions where they signed items.
During the New York performance, the pair played their lead single 'A Good Day.' The song draws on a sample from Bill Withers' 1977 recording 'Lovely Day,' and its title refers to Ice Cube's 1993 track 'It Was A Good Day.' The album 'Heavy Is The Crown' was released on vinyl and for streaming services before the tour dates began.
After the performance, the two artists met with fans. Some people in line had been waiting since noon or earlier that day. The event sold a hoodie, two t-shirts, and a set of drumsticks, along with vinyl editions of the album. Signing sessions for the records were held on site.
