WNDX has released a list of 100 rock acts that have been snubbed by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The station published the list on November 2, 2026, ahead of the upcoming induction ceremony scheduled for November 14. The list includes bands, singers, producers, managers, radio DJs, journalists, and promoters who were either overlooked or failed in fan voting since the Hall began operations. WNDX stated it focused on rock genres such as metal, punk, and alternative music.

The station set three rules for the list. First, it loosely followed the Hall's eligibility requirement that an artist's first recording must be at least 25 years old. Second, it restricted entries to rock subgenres. Third, it assigned each act to a likely induction category, including Performers, Musical Influence, Non-performers, or Musical Excellence. The list also recommended specific songs and albums for listeners to hear.

The top of the list features Bad Brains at number 100. The hardcore punk group became eligible in 2008 and was nominated once. Members include Dr. Know, Darryl Jenifer, Earl Hudson, and H.R. WNDX noted the band influenced Green Day, Nirvana, and Soundgarden. The group missed induction in 2016. Recommended listening includes I Against I, Banned in D.C., and Sailin’ On.

Hole ranks number 99 on the list. The alt-rock band became eligible in 2016 and has never been nominated. Members listed are Courtney Love, Eric Erlandson, Kristen Pfaff, Melissa Auf der Maur, and Patty Schemel. The station cited the band's commercial success and suggested Courtney Love's reputation may have hindered their consideration. Recommended tracks include Celebrity Skin, Malibu, and Violet.

Faith No More is at number 98. The band became eligible in 2011 and has never been nominated. Members include Chuck Mosley, Mike Patton, Jim Martin, Jon Hudson, Billy Gould, Roddy Bottum, and Mike Bordin. WNDX credited the group with inventing alt metal and influencing nu metal. Recommended songs are Epic, Easy, and Midlife Crisis.

Other entries include Steppenwolf at number 97, Captain Beefheart and The Magic Band at number 96, and the Melvins at number 95. The Melvins are described as a definitive pre-grunge band that helped create sludge metal. The list continues down to number 86, featuring Whitesnake.
