Wright Industries will spend $18 million to expand its manufacturing footprint in Goshen, Indiana. Governor Mike Braun announced the plan on Thursday. The company intends to create more than 250 jobs by the end of 2028.

The firm will purchase the former Wabash National Services facility located at 2672 E. Kercher Road. This 72-acre property contains 12 buildings with a combined area of 380,000 square feet. Renovations are currently underway at the site.

Wright Industries began operations in 2025 with a 72,000-square-foot facility. The company has since outgrown that space. It plans to begin moving operations to the new location next week. The expansion aims to increase production and support workforce growth.

New positions at the Goshen campus are expected to pay average salaries up to 125% of the Elkhart County average. David Wright, the company’s CEO, cited Goshen’s business climate and available workforce as key factors in the decision. He noted that the area’s manufacturing expertise also influenced the choice.

Wright Industries is a division of Wright Capital Management. The company designs, builds, and remounts premium ambulances and specialty vehicles. In 2025, it introduced the Rescue Star Type II ambulance built on a 2026 Ford Transit chassis. The firm recently unveiled the Rescue Star RS 170 Type III ambulance at the EMS World show in Orlando.

Indiana Secretary of Commerce Chuck Goodrich stated that the investment reflects continued business growth in the state. Governor Braun noted that the advanced manufacturing sector continues to grow, driving high-wage jobs forward. The expansion adds to manufacturing activity in the South Bend-Elkhart region, which has an established recreational vehicle industry.
