LIVONIA, Mich. (Central Indiana Herald) Donald Trump diverted attention from Republican Senate candidate Mike Rodgers during a Sunday rally in Michigan by focusing on the physical attributes of Ohio Senator Jon Husted and rapper Nicki Minaj.

The rally served as a campaign stop for Rodgers, who is currently competing in a tight race against Democrat Abdul-Sayed. However, Trump spent a notable portion of the address commenting on the bodies of two prominent figures in the room.

Trump began by praising the rear end of Husted, a former professional football player. The President stated that he started examining Husted’s body because he did not know the senator was a great athlete. He described looking up and down, noting Husted’s hands and claws.

"I looked at his a**, and I looked at the whole, and then I looked at his hands. Look at his hands. He’s got these, like, claws," Trump told the crowd. He added that he was studying Husted to understand his athletic background.

Trump addressed media confusion regarding these comments by labeling the coverage fake news. He insisted his observations were made in fun and that he only learned of Husted’s athletic history while studying his physique.

"I said: I looked at his a**, and I’ve never done that with a man before. It’s true. Off the record, women yes, men no, OK," Trump said. He claimed he learned Husted was a college athlete during this examination.

The President then shifted focus to Minaj, who was present at the event and had traveled with Trump on a flight. He told the audience that he looked at one hell of a beautiful a** before, identifying Minaj by name.

"That’s hard to miss. That, stand up! That’s hard to miss," Trump said, prompting loud applause from the audience. Minaj stood up to acknowledge the remark before joining Trump on stage.

Minaj expressed support for Trump during the event, stating she would back him for a third term if he ran. She noted that she could not vote because she is not a citizen. This came shortly after Barack Obama held a rally in support of Abdul-Sayed, where he mocked Trump’s recent White House renovations.

Social media users quickly reacted to Minaj’s presence, pointing out her marriage to a registered sex offender and her brother’s legal issues. Critics argued her support for Trump was inconsistent with his controversial statements and her family’s history.
