Jay-Z will stand at the center of the Super Bowl halftime show on February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The rapper and his company, Roc Nation, have partnered with the NFL to produce the event since 2019. For the upcoming edition, the producer and performer are the same person.
The NFL has not yet determined which two teams will contest the championship game that week. Those matchups will be decided by the end of January 2027. Until then, the focus remains on the 14-minute musical interlude that will precede the game.
Rumors regarding special guests have circulated since the announcement. Jay-Z has not confirmed any additional performers. However, several artists have a history of collaborating with him or performing in high-profile NFL events.
Beyoncé is frequently cited as the most likely candidate. She has been married to Jay-Z since 2018 and the couple shares three children. Their musical history includes hits such as "Crazy in Love" and "Drunk in Love." Beyoncé has a direct link to the NFL stage, having performed with Coldplay and Bruno Mars during the 2016 halftime show. She also sang the national anthem at Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2001 and headlined a halftime performance in Houston on Christmas Day 2024.
Rihanna is another name that surfaces in discussions. Jay-Z, then CEO of Def Jam Records, signed her in 2005. She later moved to Roc Nation in 2010. The two have recorded songs including "Umbrella" and "FourFiveSeconds." Rihanna was a surprise guest on Jay-Z’s tour earlier this year at Yankee Stadium. She headlined the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show, where she announced her pregnancy.
Blu Ivy Carter, the eldest child of Jay-Z and Beyoncé, has already appeared at an NFL halftime event. She danced during her mother’s 2024 Christmas Day performance in Houston. She also joined the Cowboy Carter tour as a dancer. Blu Ivy is often seen at games with her father, and her presence could make the 2027 show a family event.
Eminem is the fourth artist linked to the potential guest list. He collaborated with Jay-Z on the track "Renegade" from the album The Blueprint. The two recently shared the stage during Jay-Z’s current tour. Eminem appeared as a special guest during the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show, which featured a lineup of hip-hop artists.
The final decision on guests rests with Jay-Z and Roc Nation. No official announcement has been made regarding whether any of these four artists will join him on the field at SoFi Stadium next February.
