Angel Reese played in the league's first-ever WNBA Finals Game 7 on Sunday.

Her Atlanta Dreams team fell to the Golden State Valkyries by a score of 68-63.

Despite the result, Reese addressed reporters with a focus on gratitude rather than disappointment.

She called her teammates a great group and said they changed her life.

Reese noted that this is only her third year in the WNBA.

She told reporters she is grateful for the opportunity to go to war with this specific team.

The player stated she would do it all over again.

Reese used the phrase delayed, not denied, to describe the team's future outlook.

This season marked Reese's first year with the Dream.

She set records for double doubles in both the regular season and the playoffs.

Reese also earned her first Defensive Player of the Year award.

The team moved its home games to State Farm Arena due to high attendance numbers at the Gateway Center Arena, which seats 7,000 people, to the larger venue that holds 16,000 fans, typically home to the Atlanta Hawks, during the season. Celebrities including Usher, Monica, and T.I. attended the games to show support for the squad. Reese credited coach Karl Smesko for the team's collective improvement. She said that when individual players get better in the offseason, the team gets better as a unit. She expressed enthusiasm for another year under Smesko's development system. The WNBA season will return next spring, though no official start date has been announced yet. The WNBA draft is scheduled for April 12, 2027.
