Shoppers in Central Indiana can now read a summary of their personal habits that Amazon’s artificial intelligence has compiled about them. The company has added an "About You" page to its platform that outlines user preferences based on digital activity. This new tool allows residents to see exactly what the algorithm thinks they like.

Amazon built this profile by analyzing user behavior. The system reviews what customers buy, search for, save, and review. It also processes conversations users hold with the company’s AI shopping assistant. Amazon labels the feature as a beta version, indicating it is still in a testing phase.

The data feeds into the platform’s recommendation engine. The goal is to personalize suggestions for future purchases. Amazon stated that the page is accessible through the Amazon Shopping app. Users can also view it on mobile web browsers and desktop computers.

Sean Copeland of The Sean Show on B105.7 demonstrated how to access the page. He opened the app, tapped Account, then selected Shopping preferences and About You. Copeland found the profile largely accurate for his household. It correctly noted that he shares a 1939 Irvington bungalow with an elementary school teacher husband and two cats.

The profile also captured specific food preferences. It stated that Copeland prefers Americanized Chinese food but is willing to try new options. Amazon said users can correct these details. Shoppers can edit preferences, provide feedback, and remove data they do not want used for recommendations.

Users can also ask the shopping assistant directly, "What do you know about me?" to retrieve the information. This feature gives customers control over how their data shapes their shopping experience. The page is currently live for those who check the designated settings menu.
