One major music figure is issuing an apology after a podcast comment sparked a wave of online criticism. 2 Chainz, a rapper from College Park, Georgia, addressed the backlash in a social media post on Monday. He stated that he spoke with Keith Lee, a popular food critic on TikTok, after their appearance on the show.

The tension began during an episode of Kirk Franklin’s Den of Kings. 2 Chainz questioned the credibility of restaurant reviewers while defending special treatment for celebrities. He appeared frustrated by what he perceived as unfair standards for the general public. Listeners quickly identified a factual error in his comments.

Keith Lee had never posted a negative review of 2 Chainz’s restaurant. The actual source of the scathing critique was another TikToker known as Mr. Chimetime. Fans pointed out the confusion and urged the rapper to correct the record. They argued that his frustration was directed at the wrong person.

In his post, 2 Chainz wrote, “I got a chance to speak to Keith after the podcast and it was all love.” He acknowledged that his words offended some people and apologized for the offense. He explained that his intent differed from his delivery and admitted he could have communicated his point better.

Keith Lee has not yet publicly responded to the apology. However, online comments indicate that many followers are still unsatisfied with the resolution. One user wrote, “Don’t apologize to us peasants!” Another user demanded, “We wanna see you apologize to him publicly.” The rapper has not announced any further plans to address the situation directly.

The incident highlights the rapid pace of digital feedback in the food and music industries. 2 Chainz continues to operate his restaurant while managing his public image. The initial podcast segment remains available for viewers to watch, preserving the original context of the exchange.
