Noblesville closes 8th Street twice this week for election logistics
Construction work at the Hamilton County Judicial Center has forced temporary road blocks on October 31 and November 3.

Drivers in downtown Noblesville should expect interruptions on Eighth Street this weekend and early next week. The road will close twice to allow election workers to move voting equipment to and from the Hamilton County Judicial Center. These closures are necessary because construction on the west side of the building has blocked the sally port that staff usually use for these deliveries.
The first closure is scheduled for Saturday, October 31. The stretch of Eighth Street between Logan and Conner streets will be shut down from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. during this window. Election crews will use the open road to pick up voting equipment for the upcoming General Election. Motorists who are not involved in the election operations should steer clear of the area during these hours.
The second closure will occur on Tuesday, November 3. The same section of Eighth Street will close from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This timing allows workers to return election results and equipment after polls close. Local officials ask drivers to use alternate routes to avoid delays in the downtown core.
Voters planning to cast ballots at the Judicial Center on election day may face parking challenges. Because the usual access points are restricted or occupied by election vehicles, the county encourages voters to allow extra time for parking. Two public parking garages are available just north and south of the Judicial Center. Additional spots can be found in nearby public lots and around the downtown square.
