Central Indiana residents will have a new option for weekend viewing this winter. A four-part documentary series about Justin Timberlake is slated to arrive on Apple TV in December 2026. The project is directed by Fisher Stevens.
The series is described by sources as a look at key moments in the singer’s life and career. One major focus will be the 2004 Super Bowl halftime performance. Janet Jackson is expected to appear in the show to discuss that event. During the broadcast, Timberlake briefly exposed part of her breast. The incident sparked national debate and impacted Jackson’s career for years afterward.
Timberlake has kept a lower profile in recent months. He finished his Forget Tomorrow World Tour in July 2025. He also disclosed a Lyme disease diagnosis that affected his ability to perform. The documentary is expected to include a segment on Britney Spears, Timberlake’s former girlfriend. Details about that portion of the show are not yet public.
In 2021, Timberlake issued public apologies to both Jackson and Spears. He addressed the controversies directly in a statement. The new series will revisit those past events with new interviews and footage.
Apple TV, Timberlake, and Jackson have not issued official statements confirming the project. No specific premiere date has been set. The series is currently in production with a target release window of December 2026.
