Heartland Soundtrack Launches Nov. 13

The soundtrack for the Netflix film Heartland will release on November 13. The audio album arrives on the same day as the movie’s premiere. It features new music from established country artists and cast members.

Carly Pearce and Margo Price are among the performers on the track listing. Carter Faith also contributes a song titled “Still the Sparrow Sings.” That track is available for purchase now. Faith wrote and performed the piece specifically for the film.

A performance video for “Still the Sparrow Sings” is currently online. The footage was recorded at Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe. It serves as an early preview for listeners ahead of the full album drop.

Faith makes her acting debut in Heartland. She plays Charlie Heart, a rising country singer who disappears. Her absence prompts her aunt to return to Nashville. Jessica Chastain stars as the aunt, a reclusive country legend named Misty Jones. The character sets out to locate her missing niece.

Shana Feste directs the film. Her previous work includes Country Strong. The story pairs a Nashville setting with a mystery plot. Jennifer Nettles appears as fellow singer Winnie Jo Lean. She and Chastain perform the title song together. The soundtrack mixes cast performances with contributions from outside artists.

The release connects the fictional music world of the film with voices listeners already recognize. Fans can access the music immediately or wait to discover the songs alongside the characters during the viewing experience.
